Graphic Bonefish Hoodie Sizing
Hoodies are a bit over sized to enhance the the above features, with longer arms. I have worn these hoodies to the summit of Mount Yale to fly fishing the flats of the Florida Keys. At 6′ feet and 200 lbs., I wear a size large comfortably. Graphic hoodie makes a great base layer for skiing, hiking, and any other outdoor activities. The 15% Spandex allows for great stretch and movement.

Preparation: Setting Yourself Up for Success
Before you hit the flats, check the weather. UV index, wind speed, and temperature guide your gear choices. Pack layers to adapt as conditions shift:
- Morning: Start with a lightweight base layer, hoodie, and early sunscreen application.
- Midday: As the sun peaks, pull up your buff or face mask and reapply sunscreen.
- Afternoon: Wind often intensifies later—keep your hood ready and hydrate consistently.
Why It Matters
Bonefish are elusive, and the flats test your endurance. Proper sun and wind protection keeps you comfortable and sharp, letting you fish longer and smarter. It’s not just about avoiding a sunburn or chapped lips—it’s about preventing long-term damage so you can keep chasing these silver speedsters for years to come. Gear up with UPF clothing, sunscreen, buffs, and plenty of water, and you’ll be ready to outlast the elements—and the bonefish.
Bonefish Saltwater Fly Fishing is It the Ultimate Experience?
Bonefish live in coastal tropical, sub-tropical saltwater. A game fish that’s sleek, slender, black striped over a silver body, a freight train in speeds reaching thirty five miles per hour. Bonefish habitat varies from Mangroves, Shallow Sandy Flats, and beds of Sea Grass. They use their camouflage to hide in the mud and sand to ambush their prey.
Their ability to jump and stealth makes them a great adversary on a fly rod. Sight cast to tailing fish feeding on crabs, shrimp, and worms is challenging on the flats. From above they appear a dark blue-green with sides of silver. And presentation with your fly is everything, like dry fly fishing for selective trout.
Destinations for Bonefish on the included list is the Bahamas, little know Hawaii, Christmas Island to name a few. But their territory runs from the Caribbean sea, Florida, Bermuda, and Brazil. On the Pacific Ocean eastern coast from Peru to San Francisco Bay, west to Hawaii and beyond.
