Thundering for Sea Trout with a Thunder Creek Minnow
Thundering for Sea Trout with Thunder Creek Minnow which has it’s history rooted in smallmouth fly fishing. And worked good for trout as well, or really any other species. I have become fond of this pattern in a Fluorescent Pink and Chartreuse Buck tail with a weighted head.
Cruising along the docks in Florida’s, Gulf of Mexico at dawn or dusk side arm casting up under and among the docks, catching sea trout.
Next step after the lead head is to tie in the Fluorescent Pink Bucktail for the head and back on Thunder Creek Minnow
Thunder Sea Trout Recipe:
Hook: Diiachi 2370 7XL
Thead: Semperfli
Body: Emboss Gold Tinsel / Semperfli Straggle Chenille
Head Build: .020 lead wire 9 wraps
Body/Head: Bucktail Top: Fluorescent Pink, Belly: Chartreuse Green
Flash: Hedron Lateral Scale
Roll Thunder Creek Minnow over and tie in the Chartreuse Bucktail in Thundering for Sea Trout
Fold the Chartreuse Bucktail back and tie off creating a half a bullet head and body
Roll the vise over and tie down the Fluorescent Pink Bucktail creating the minnow profile.
