Bootlegger a Swing Around the End Does it Every Time
This variation on a Thunder Creek Minnow, has become a Sea Run Cutthroat fly of choice with great success, as well as catching Sea Trout in Florida.
Boot Legger Recipe:
Hook: Diiachi 7 XL or Mustad 6XL
Thread: Semperfli 3/0 Blood Red
Head Weight: 8 wraps .020 lead wire
Back: Fluorescent Pink Bucktail
Belly: Chartreuse Bucktail
Eye: 3D Red
Head Finish: Semperfli NoTack

First put your hook in your vise, I use a Regal Vise for most of my flies.
Next tie in the Ice straggle in Hot Orange for the body on the Bootlegger Thunder Creek Minnow
Wrap Semperfli Hot Orange Ice straggle forward to the tie off point the distance of the gap of the hook from the front of the eye. Wrap 8 wraps of .020 lead toward the eye of the hook and tie in.
Next tie in the Fluorescent Pink Bucktail
Next roll over the hook, tied in the Chartreuse Bucktail and wrap thread to back of head.
Now fold back the Chartreuse Bucktail and tied into place.
Next Roll over the hook and tied fold back the Fluorescent Pink Bucktail and tied off. At this Point you would add your lateral line flash of choice
Once tied off I apply a base of Semperfli No Tack UV Finish, harden, stick on eye of choice and add another layer of No Tack. Now Fish
