Saltwater Fly Rods – Freshwater Fly Rods for All Game Species

Prestige Saltwater Fly Rods are very accurate casting rods.  The 8 (eight) weight is a good surf fly fishing rod for Striped Bass or Redfish.  A good west coast fly rod for Corbina, Bonita, and Striped Bass fly fishing.

Prestige 10 (ten)  weight is a great light weight Tarpon rod. If Muskie fly fishing is your thing this is the fly rod for you.  Great for pike and large, large mouth bass. Eight and Ten weights are perfect carp fly rods.  Also a great rod if you are heading to Lost Key in the Bahamas for a twenty pound permit or barracuda.

Like sight casting to tailing Bonefish our 7  (seven) weight is a great flats saltwater fly rod.  Great saltwater fly rods for Snook by the dock lights.

Freshwater Fly Rods Bass, Trout, Pike – Panfish Fly Fishing

Freshwater fly rods kicks off with a Classic Fly Rod Line.  Inexpensive fly rod with moderate action. Its a great intro to the fly fishing rod or to have a spare rod. Classic Fly Rod comes in a 5 (five) weight at the moment.

Two Signature Series Fly Rods. First from Davy Wotton a 10′ 4 (four) weight. This a great wet – nymphing rod.  I like it for dry flies as well. Second in the series is the Denny Rickards Stillwater Fly Rod.  This fly rod is a 9′ 6 (six) weight, designed to cast streamers with advanced engineered striper guides.  Both fly rods have a nice moderate fast action.  I have been using the Rickards fly rod on Rocky Mountain Rivers Like the Madison River for nymphing and dries as well.

Next up a beauty Graphene Fly Rod the Prestige G-XS Freshwater Line. A specialty of this line is the Ultra-light 1 (one) weight and 2 (two) weight fly rods. A sweet flex in the tip make these fly rods powerful and fun to fish. I have fished both on an up Colorado river for 14 inch browns on several occasions.  Another great fly rod in this line is the 11′ 3 (three) weight.  I use this rod for euro-nymphing. The feel is great as you bounce a perdigon along the bottom.  Lot of backbone in the butt, I have landed several 20 plus inch fish on the Big Horn River.

For carp fly fishing, like musky you need a lot of backbone in a rod and the Prestige G-XS 10 weight  is the perfect rod. Carp can be very selective so great presentation is very important.
