The Ewing Soft Hackle Hen Cape patches give you the right material to tie these patterns correctly — soft, fine-fibered feathers with natural taper and the gentle movement that defines great soft hackle work.

Thirteen options are available across solid and grizzly hen capes — Black Grizzly, Cinnamon, Cinnamon Grizzly, Dark Olive, Dark Olive Grizzly, Grizzly, Green Chartreuse, Green Chartreuse Grizzly, Orange, Orange Grizzly, White, Yellow Chartreuse, and Yellow Chartreuse Grizzly. The natural tones — cinnamon, dark olive, grizzly — cover your classic wet fly and soft hackle spider patterns. The dyed colors — chartreuse, orange — push these patches into streamer work, saltwater baitfish patterns, and any situation where you need soft movement in a specific color.
