Developed and tied by a working Montana guide, Dave’s Gallatin Stonopper was built specifically for the heavy stonefly hatches of the Gallatin River — but its buggy profile, natural movement, and lifelike silhouette have made it a producer well beyond Montana’s borders. The pink dubbing-loop egg sac adds a subtle trigger point that fish key in on, while the Fl. Yellow Monster Bush Fur body gives the fly real mass and presence on the surface. The double-sided foam back — brown on top, yellow mottled in brown underneath — creates a natural two-tone profile that reads true from above and below, exactly how a real stonefly or hopper appears to a fish looking up.
