Rueben’s take on a classic — the Fire Craw takes his signature crawfish profile and dresses it in one of the most proven colors in fishing: Fire Tiger. That fluorescent chartreuse-orange-green combo doesn’t hide, and neither does this bait. Whether the water’s stained after a rain or gin-clear, the Fire Craw gets seen and gets crushed. This isn’t a niche color for one species — bass, walleye, pike, and anything else keying on crawfish will eat it. Sized at a 2″ body (3″ overall) and rigged with a size 6 hook, it’s built to work bottom structure, rock, and wood without disappearing in the mix.
How to Fish the Fire Tiger Crawfish:
- Cast tight to rock piles, laydowns, or riprap — crawfish live there, so that’s where this bait needs to be.
- Slow, bottom-bumping retrieve: crank it down, then pause and let it deflect off cover like a spooked crawdad.
- In stained water, lean on the Fire Craw’s visibility — slow-roll it so fish can track it from a distance.
- Best in low light or dirty water where that fluorescent color separates it from the bottom.
