This is a 60-degree bend, barbless, in-line eye jig hook built for one job: getting your nymph down fast and keeping it pinned once a fish eats. The wide gape gives you more hook-setting real estate than a standard jig hook, and the long, straight surehold point holds sharp through fish after fish instead of rolling over on the first rock strike.
Pair it with a slotted tungsten bead and the angled shank does the rest — the fly rides hook-point-up, which means fewer snags on bottom-bouncing drifts and more flies that come home instead of staying wedged under a ledge.
