Red Grizzly is red with black bars. It’s a strike trigger with texture — red to get attention, bars to make it look real. It reads as gills, as a crawfish’s claw tips, as the barred red fins on a lot of baitfish.

Recipe 1: Red Grizzly Chickabou Hot-Spot Soft Hackle
- Hook: Jig nymph hook, #14–#16
- Bead: Slotted tungsten, black or copper
- Thread: Black 8/0
- Body: Pheasant tail fibers, ribbed with fine copper wire
- Hot spot: Red thread, 3–4 wraps behind the bead
